Today was a good day! Anna and I got a lot accomplished. We ran for about an hour this morning. When we got home, and after we both ate, she took a 2 hour nap while I ran around the house like a crazy person working on the list.
I kept thinking she was going to wake up so I was moving at full speed trying to get laundry done, dinner made, clothes sorted (so sad to put away her 3 month clothes) the house vacuumed and a bunch of other random things.
For dinner I made a recipe I adapted from Cara’s Cravings . I love tahini (sesame paste), so I was excited to try it on tilapia. I made some quinoa and Asian Slaw to go with it. I also made Andrew’s AMAZING sauce to pour over the fish and slaw. Let me know if you try it!
Tahini Tilapia
- 6-8 tilapia fillets
- 3 T tahini (sesame paste)
- 1 T agave
- 1 1/2 T white wine vinegar
- 1 1/2 T rice vinegar
- 1 t sesame oil
- salt to taste
- Preheat your oven to 425
- Make the sauce/marinade by combining tahini, agave, white wine vinegar, rice vinegar and sesame oil.
- Cover the fish in the sauce to marinate in
- Allow the fish to marinate for at least a few hours
- Bake for about 20-25 minutes at 425.
Tomorrow is my first day teaching bootcamp to a few neighbors of mine! I am so excited! I will post an update of how it goes after our 6am class tomorrow!
Do you prefer to workout in the morning, mid day or evening time?
I LOVE to work out in the morning. I find it almost impossible to workout in the evenings. When I was teaching, I would wake up at 4:45 to go!
You feed your neighbors and now you are training them? Darn it, I want to live in your neighborhood!!
What a productive mama you are! I am definitely a morning exerciser. I anticipate having to adjust my schedule a bit when the baby arrives, but I imagine it will still happen sometime in the morning.
Cheers for such a productive day! I’m with you on the morning work-out–my alarm goes off for a 6am work-out on weekday mornings. If I don’t get my workout out of the way first thing, it’s much easier to put it off, or simply feel too tired when I get home from work.
Hope you had a blast teaching Boot Camp 🙂
i really need to move to columbus so you can feed me and train me 🙂
Good luck at bootcamp – can’t wait for the recap!!
That picture of Anna is adorable. I love those cheeks! 🙂
back from vacation and catching up on blogs—LOVE the sound of this and I’m always looking for new tilapia recipes!
