These are things I keep on hand at all times.  My house is pretty stocked with food.  I am not one of those people who has clear cupboards at the end of the week.  I do have an empty fridge at the end of the week because I meal plan and buy fresh foods accordingly, but the pantry is another story.  It seems like I am always having impromptu company or the need for an extra dish.  When I need a to throw together a meal in a pinch, I always have something I can make!


  • Different kinds of canned beans: Garbanzo, Black, Pinto, Kidney,

  • Canned veggies – I don’t use these often, but sometimes they are needed for an add-in. (corn, beets, green beans)
