This is it for wedding weekend posts, and since John + Ashley return home from Cabo today, I think it’s fitting.
After pictures at Ohio Stadium, we made our way back downtown to the Ohio Statehouse for the reception. Cocktail hour was in full swing in the Rotunda so we grabbed a drink and started to mingle.
It was shortly time to move into the atrium for the reception. Coming down through the double doors into the room was pretty amazing. From the huge ceilings to the gorgeous flowers, it was beautiful!
Tall candelabras bursting with flowers were on half of the tables while short, beautiful vases filled the other half. Each table was given a number, as well as a name of one of John + Ashley’s favorite places.
The black + white pictures of each place were such a fun touch!
Once everyone was seated, we were announced as we entered the ballroom. We then stood waiting for the new Mr. + Mrs. to be introduced.
John + Ashley were announced on the catwalk and came out jamming to “All I Do is Win” as they entered. Everyone immediately rose from their seats and started dancing and cheering.
It was the best bridal entrance I have seen and I wish we had a video of it!
Shortly after, toasts were given and beautiful words spoken.
And dances were done. 🙂
And it was time for cake-cutting and cupcake eating. The cupcakes were some of the best I had ever tasted. Fun flavors like buckeye (chocolate + pb), gooey chocolate, banana creme, oreo and fun toppings like potato chips and bacon.
From this point on, it was non-stop dancing with a fabulous band called The Conspiracy Band.

What a beautiful wedding! Looks like it was so much fun!!!
