Here is a little glimpse into my day today. I was thinking about the fact that pre-Anna I would have been at the first teacher day at school. I would gone to convocation in the morning then worked in my room and had meetings all day. Crazy to think about right now. 🙂
My Monday started with a 4:55am alarm. I threw on my spinning clothes that I had laid out the night before. Then I hit start on my coffee maker and poured a to-go cup.
I headed out the door at 5:30 to teach my 6am class. Arriving a few minutes early to chat (yes, at 5:55am) and set up.
The class went great and left me energized for the day. I love having my workout done so early. I was home by 7:20 and ready to take on these two.
We had oatmeal around 7:45am, then the playing began.
We played outside, then inside, then outside again. Luckily it was a beautiful 75 *. We went for a walk and spent a substantial amount of time in the backyard.
Then a healthy lunch of natural peanut butter and homemade strawberry jam on whole wheat bread with cucumbers and watermelon was eaten before nap time.
Nap time at my house is not a time to rest. It’s a time for me to take advantage of having both of my arms free and get something done.
Here was the scene around 2pm.
Dinner done my 2:30pm. Then it was on to laundry. It is truly amazing how fast you can fold laundry when someone or some-two are not unfolding it at the same time.
After naps, the girls woke up and there was lots of this happening. We have two little readers on our hands.
By then it was almost 4pm. We played outside on the cornhole boards (throwing the bags in and getting them out lasted about 20 minutes – a LONG time for a 1 and 2 year old). Soon Addie went home and Anna and I ran to the store to grab some fresh, local sweet corn to go with our dinner.
It was just about ready when Brady got home.
We ate then headed out the door to take Anna for a walk in her red car. Then it was tubby time and bed for everyone.
My how things have changed. 🙂 What is different about your life than it used to be?
Gosh, I can’t even remember what it was like before Colin. But lately what has changed is that I don’t go to the gym every day anymore. It’s so nice! Now I run, bike, swim, and only go to the gym twice a week to teach Group Power.
p.s. I can’t believe how big Miss Anna is already – she’s too cute!
