Yesterday afternoon it was in the 60s outside so we had a play date with Jasper. Lots went on during the 45 minutes we were outside.

Jasper taught Anna all about playing with sidewalk chalk.

So happy spring is here!!

The day continued to be great when our dinner guests arrived. John, Ashley, Chait (Sarah) and Liz (EB) came for burgers! We had a simple meal of burgers, salad, wine and sweet potato fries. For dessert I made Jenna’s chocolate dump cake. It was like brownie batter in bar form – super chocolatey and gooey.

Her picture makes it look so much more appetizing and amazing then mine.

Jenna’s Chocolate Pudding Dump Cake

Ingredients:

  • 1 chocolate boxed cake mix
  • 1 small package chocolate pudding
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 1/2 cups (large handful) chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Prepare the pudding with the milk according to package directions.
  3. Add the cake mix and stir well to combine (batter will be thick).
  4. Smooth batter into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
  5. Scatter chocolate chips on top.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes, or until edges pull away from sides.
