These truffles are super simple to make. With just two ingredients, it’s hard to mess them up! The original recipe calls for regular whipping cream but I used half and half to cut a few calories and fat (don’t get me wrong, these are not light!). They are rich and delicious!
Chocolate Truffles
- 1 bag of semi sweet chocolate chips
- 1 c. half and half
- Place chocolate chips and cream in a sauce pan.
- Heat until chocolate starts to melt.
- Stir together while chocolate melts into half and half.
- Pour ganache into another container an allow to cool.
- Chill in the fridge until you are able to scoop and form small balls with ganache.
- Rolls balls in your hands to firm and then in the toppings to coat
- Store in a cool place or in the fridge!
Pair with a bottle of Pinot and share with your friends and family!
Wow, I had no idea these were so easy to make. I’ve gotta try this!
These are awesome! I’m a huge fan of making truffles and “candy” for Christmas. Have you ever made Paula Deen’s Cookie Dough Truffles? They’re one of my absolute favorite holiday treats 🙂
Truffles are a must around the holidays–yours look so gourmet! 🙂
