My dad came down last night from Cleveland (my mom came a few days earlier) to spend the weekend here and hang out with us and Anna.  He came down right after she was born for the night, but had a bad cold and didn’t hold her so this is the first time he is really meeting her!

I think she is pretty comfortable – don’t you think!

The Cavs game started at 7pm, so Brady’s parents and brother came over to watch it with us and have dinner.  We had a great time snacking on the delicious appetizers they brought (which I missed taking a pic of because I was feeding Anna).  The appetizers were chicken salad stuffed tomatoes and cucumber pita sandwiches.  They were great!

After the Cavs had a nice comfortable lead, we decided to record the 4th quarter and eat.

Earlier in the day we marinated some lean pork tenderloin in a mojo marinade.

Mojo Pork Tenderloin Marinade

  • * 3 c. orange juice
  • * 1 c. lime juice
  • * 1/2 c. fresh cilantro
  • * salt and pepper
  • * 3 T. fresh chopped garlic
  • * 1 T. chopped oregano

Rub the pork with garlic and salt and pepper.  Marinate the pork for at least a few hours.   I made sure Brady continued to add marinade to the pork while it was on the grill.  When it was done, we sliced oranges and limes and squeezed the juice on the pork.  It turned out very tender and flavorful!

The pork in the marinade:

We also marinated some onions in the mojo marinade so we could caramelize them.

The pork – after being grilled.

Caramelized onions – simmered on the stove for about 40 minutes with the mojo marinade.

To go with the meal we had baked potatoes.

And we had salad – so good!

Since dinner didn’t start until 9:15pm we were all too stuffed for dessert which was fresh strawberries and vanilla yogurt.  We will have to have that today as a treat!

Right now my mom and I are going to do some P90X while the boys are golfing.  Time to get back in shape after Miss Anna. 🙂  I will post a workout – back in shape after baby!
