I love my heart rate monitor. It is something I would recommend to anyone who works out!
- Improve your fitness: Using a heart rate monitor will help you to to workout smarter and get more from each workout. It will help you find the right intensity and pace to meet your goals.
- Build cardiovascular strength: You will be able to tell how hard your heart is working during different activities and workouts. This will help you to push yourself when you need to.
- Learn your body: When you workout with a heart rate monitor you are able to understand how your body works. You can see if your heart rate is normal or higher/lower than usual – this can help prevent problems.
- Make the most of your workout: The HRM helps you maximize all of your workouts.
Do you have one? What brand do you like? What is your favorite thing about your HRM?
I like the heart rate monitor I have now…but I REALLY want a garmin 305 or 405. Really bad. If only the money was there too 🙂
I have one but I haven’t used it yet. I’m not even really sure how! but maybe i’ll try…
I love using my heart rate monitor. It really helps me long distance train. I know how fast I can run and still have stamina. I know if I go harder than that, my pace will fall quickly afterward. Plus, I think technology of any kind helps make exercise more fun.
I have a Timex Ironman Triathlon, which works fine for me! I have a smartphone for GPS tracking, which also has music or sermons or talk radio on it, so I didn’t have to get one of the more expensive GPS-tracker HRMs.
My favorite thing is that my watch has a customizable heart rate zone with beeping alarms to help control my workout.
