This Christmas I am making a special treat for my friends and family – nut butter! I am obsessed with it (does anyone think this has anything to do with nursing? I can’t get enough!) and it’s easy to make. Nuts Online recently sent me honey roasted almonds and honey roasted cashews to use in my nut butters!
To make it, I simply dumped the nuts into my big Cuisineart food processor and blended away. That is it. I didn’t add anything. No oil or extra sugar or anything. These roasted nuts worked great!
Since then I have made lots of honey roasted peanut butter as well! It’s such a great treat!
To add a little to your gift, pair the nut butter with a bottle of wine!
Hope you had a great weekend!
Is there anything special you have to do with the jars like you would with canning to get them sealed? Or do you not seal them other than just screwing on the lid? Then again, people shouldn’t save homemade PB for a rainy day!
I LOVE this idea! So cute 🙂 I’ve been saving our nut butter and salsa jars since August in preparation for December gift-giving. We’re filling our jars with snack mix or sugared pecans. I’m NUTS about your nut butter idea though! Maybe next year…
What an adorable idea! I am sure the people getting it will be thrilled! 🙂
Ahhhh….am I one of these friends???? I would love some homemade nut butter! 🙂
ITS THAT EASY? I am totally going to try!
