With busy weekends and busy weekdays, we often turn to protein shakes for breakfasts, snacks and additions to easy lunches. They are fast to make, include greens, protein and anything else we are in the mood to add.
I was recently offered the opportunity to work with Nutrition Fix , a new online sport + nutrition store which offers supplements, vitamins and lots of great protein options. They sent a protein powder called Dymatize Nutrition’s Elite Whey Protein Isolate. We usually buy vanilla protein powder because I think it blends better with fruit but I was excited to try this Chocolate.
The nutrition stats were great – 125 calories, 0 grams of sugar and 24 grams of protein per scoop – just what I look for when buying protein powder.
The chocolate flavor was pretty light and not at all overpowering – in fact, I might even add a scoop of cocoa powder if I was really in the mood for something chocolatey, but it would be great with fruit because it wasn’t too much.
I loved the fluffy light texture this powder provided. And it didn’t have a weird aftertaste like some protein powders.
Overall, I would buy this but I would be tempted to try their Cookies + Cream version because I bet it would be delicious!
Check out Nutrition Fix for lots of health and fitness products.
Whey protein is really useful when you want to increase muscle when doing strength training. I always consumer whey protein because it is more bioavailable compared to soy protein. :…: – Hope This Helps!
