I was recently sent the book What Color is Your Smoothie? : 300 recipes for vibrant health.
Upon getting the bright colored book, I was intrigued about what made this book special and different. I really liked the beginning part of the book that walked you through different liquid bases for the smoothies. It also included a detailed section about the benefits of different herbs and spices. I found this to be interesting and helpful because it was written in easy-to-understand terms. For someone who does not know a lot about nutrition, this was a good guide.
The recipes in the book are divided into chapters by color. Each smoothie recipe has a paragraph of information and benefits.
Another nice feature of the book was the nutritional information for each smoothie is listed under the recipe. This makes keeping track of protein, sodium or calories much easier.
