It’s getting late in the summer and the produce is about to change. We were talking at dinner tonight about how we needed to keep eating the good, in season, summer produce before it’s too late!
Here is a list of the good stuff that is in-season and you should be eating, cooking and serving right now!!
This list is specific for Ohio but many places have similar in-season lists at this time.
- Broccoli
- Cauliflower
- Corn
- Cucumbers
- Eggplant
- Lima Beans
- Peppers
- Green Beans
- Tomatoes
- Peaches
- Melon
So start making your favorite grilled eggplant or stuffed peppers! Or maybe even a Tower of Summer!
And make sure to savor it while sitting outside on a patio or deck and sipping a class of chilled Chard.

The fiance and I are in a bit of an eating food rut – this list is definitely helpful since we need to be eating more produce, whole grains, etc. as we gear up for another school year and the Akron Marathon. Yikes!
