This is not a meal of my usual style, but for a cold day and for a meal for friends, it was perfect. I tossed everything in the crock pot in the morning and by the evening…
it was done! Brady really enjoyed it!

- 1 packet dry onion soup mix

2. Put the meat in the slow cooker and add the soup mix, water, carrots, onion, mushrooms, potatoes and celery.
3. Cover and cook on low setting for 8 to 10 hours.
Anna, taking after her mom with her love of lettuce. 🙂
We didn’t let her really eat it, despite her best efforts!
The pot roast looks great! Anna looks so cute, it no wonder she likes lettuce she is just like her mom!!
That last picture of Anna is awesome! Too cute.
My crock pot is goingto get some use this winter with a new baby to tend to. Its so fun to just thrown everything in and see what comes out. ANd you get to smell it cooking all day 🙂
AHAHAHAH best photo ever!!! I knew the love of lettuce was genetic!

Crock pot meals aren’t really my “style” either, but they are so handy and tasty! I love them!
PS. LOVE the baby pictures! So cute.
Thanks for that, and for any readers that are having trouble chopping onions without the tears, here’s an incredibly easy tip – put them in the fridge first, then chop them straight away after taking them out! No more tears! I found some more onion soup recipes here if anyone wants to try some more recipes.
