What a busy, wonderful weekend! I can’t believe it is already over. And how it is Tuesday? Why can’t every weekend be a three day weekend?
Friday night Brady’s aunt, uncle and cousin came over to meet Anna. We chatted with them and his parents for a while and went to bed earlyish.
Saturday involved lots of fun things like:
- working out
- watching USA men’s soccer (Brady)
- hanging out with Hallie and Em
- Menchie’s fro yo (self serve – we are officially obsessed!)
- John and Ash’s great party – wonderful food, company, drinks and even an indoor pinata!
- Rubino’s pizza
- A special Easton shopping trip
Then on Sunday, Brady went to play in his 10am soccer game while Anna and I got ready for our friends to come over for lunch!
We had appetizers: mango salsa, hummus, carrots and chips
Em held Anna while I prepped food. 🙂
Hallie made the most wonderful fruit salad! It had every fruit imaginable and tasted delicious!
I made sandwiches for lunch. I wanted something simple and light for lunch so I thought a “sub bar” would be perfect because people could make their sandwich however they wanted.
The basic was smoked turkey, honey ham and colby jack on whole grain and white breads. I also left some whole grain out so we could make veggie sandwiches.
I made the sandwiches early in the morning (remember, I am on the schedule of a 7 week old) and toasted them in the oven right before we ate.
The toppings were lettuce, tomato…
avocado, mustards, pickles, and mayo. Nothing too exciting.
Levi made his famous spinach salad (I may be giving Levi too much credit, maybe Alexis made it)
And I made rice krispie treats for dessert!
That wrapped up the lunch. It was great to sit on the deck and catch up!
Yummy! That lunch looks fab–love the last shot of Anna–so cute!
Food Should Taste Good chips always make an appearance
at my get togethers. All looks fabulous as usual! 🙂
such a fun weekend ali!! can’t stop thinking about our easton trip….haha 🙂 love ya!!
