The reception started with a cocktail hour in the main hall of the hotel. There were big displays of cheese and crackers with fruit and other tasty (and beautiful!) snacks. I missed the good pictures because I was taking care of a certain little guest. The boys had no trouble relaxing!
While we waited for the wedding party to arrive we mingled while Anna slept.
Em somehow ended up with these two. 🙂
After the cocktails, we entered the ballroom where dinner and dancing took place. We were greeted with this masterpiece! It looked like it was straight out of Brides magazine.
The centerpieces were beautiful!
Mandy’s favorite candies were the favors. They made the boxes and tied the ribbons themselves! So cute!
The first dance Mandy and David danced to was to the Tim McGraw song “It’s Your Love”.
After the first dance, the speeches and the toasts, dinner was served! I don’t have the fancy description or menu so this is the much simplified version.
First Course: Creamy Italian Truffle Risotto and Scallops
This dish was so delicious! It was creamy and the scallop was cooked to perfection!
Salad Course: Boston Bibb Lettuce, Lump Crab, Hearts of Palm, Florida Citrus Segments, Citrus Vinaigrette Dressing
Ali’s Main Entree: Pan-Seared Florida Grouper with an Orange Habanero Glaze served with Boniato and Fresh Seasonal Vegetables
Grilled Beef Tenderloin Filet with a Port Wine and Onion Confit Reduction served with Chedar & Chive Red Skin Mashed Potatoes and Fresh Seasonal Vegetables
Doesn’t it look like a fairytale?
All of the single ladies…
And the next bride to be!
While the band played and we danced and had fun, these two were busy hanging out. 🙂
The night ended with a white rose petal sendoff! It was such a great night! Congrats Mandy and David!! Last wedding post will be tomorrow with a brunch recap!
