Last weekend we went to a party on Friday night and then to the lake on Saturday morning. I wanted to bring something that was easy to make, would keep well in a tupperware, was not full of butter and oil, would fit my cousin’s GF needs and tasted delicious!
I thought about brownies – too rich, cookies – too time consuming for the few minutest I had, cupcakes – too messy to travel with and cake – no. I decided on a favorite treat of many…RICE KRISPIE TREATS!
To spice it up a little bit, I did two versions – classic and chocolate peanut butter!
Classic Rice Krispies
- 1 box Rice Krispies
- 1 bag mini marshmallows
- 1 tbsp. melted butter
Melt marshmallows and butter until melted. Add cereal and put into a cookie sheet to cool.
Eat!
Chocolate PB Rice Krispies
Same as above recipe with 1/2 PB added to the butter/marshmallow mix. Add chocolate chips with cereal.
Enjoy!
I have not had rice crispy treats in ages! Oh those look so good! 🙂
