I just finished one of the best bowls of oatmeal yet!  I don’t know if it was so good because I was really hungry, or because  I haven’t had it in a few days or because this is a delicious combo!  I mixed the following together:

– 1/4 c. dry rolled oats

– 1/4 c. oatbran

– 1/8 c. ( i just filled the 1/4 c. halfway, I don’t really use an 1/8 cup :)) wheat bran

– 1 tsp. ground flax

– 1/2 sliced banana

– vanilla and salt

– 1/3 ish c. water

Microwave for 1 min. then stir so the banana gets all mixed in and melty.  Then add sliced fresh strawberries!  This really tasted good, not like bad strawberry-banana flavored yogurt ( I hate that flavor!).

I enjoyed it outside on the deck.  I am trying to be outside 24/7 until school starts!!

Before breakfast I ate 1/2 protein bar and did the elliptical for 45 min.  Now I am off to plant some fresh herbs – more basil, oregano, and thyme-  and a few new flowers I got on the way home from the gym.
