Last night’s dinner party was a great time! There were lots of laughs, a great appetizer and salad, some delicious dessert and some overcooked Mexican food (made by me).

Adam + Kara’s Appetizer: Refried Bean Dip. I get the recipe from Adam – it was a great starter.

Melissa’s Salad with tons of crunch and fall flavor.

My overcooked healthy enchiladas that should have been better than they were.

My alarm went off at 4:45 and I quickly changed and ran to the coffeemaker. After being properly fueled, I headed to teach NoLimits Cardio. A short hour later, I was on my way home so Brady could go to work. He left and Anna and I had our usual oatmeal date.

After we both changed clothes, we were off. I dropped Anna at my parent’s house to play with MImi while I went to teach Total Conditioning. Another quick

Crock-Pots are so great because they allow you to have a hot dinner waiting for you to eat while you are off playing! They also have a magical way of creaming delicious ingredients together.

As part of the Foodbuzz’s September 24×24, my goal was to create a cheap,

Roasted Vegetable Harvest Grains

DSC03162.jpg

Just before having Allison and Heather over for dinner last night, Anna decided to empty the box of garbage bags. When I reached for the camera, she turned around and said “cheeeese” without even being prompted.

I was in the middle of making Roasted Vegetable Harvest grains to go with our salmon so I didn’t actually mind.

This dish was so easy and so colorful.

Dinner Party & National Geographic Slideshow

This morning started like most mornings do, with an 8:30 spinning class I taught at Chagrin Valley Fitness. It was a great way to get energized for the day, especially after not teaching classes all of last week and the beginning of this week. I felt so much better afterwards.

Then I did a few things at my house before heading to the pool with Anna to meet up with my gf’s Erika and Jackie and her man, Burak. We
