Brady and I are both sweet potato lovers. We often eat them once a week. So when the Foodbuzz Tastemaker Program offered me a free bag of Alexia Sweet Potato fries and I didn’t have to dice them, I quickly took them up on the offer.
I went with the sea salt and pepper crinkle cut for something new. It was a tough decision though, they all looked good – especially the waffle cut.
I checked out the stats and actually found this variety to have 4 g. more fat than the chipotle. Since my mind was already made up, I went with them and was not disappointed. I do wonder why though? Is there more coating? Are the crinkle cut made differently? Next time I am at the store, I will compare the two.
Super simple to make (i.e. dump them on a cookie sheet and toss them in the oven).
And crunchy yet soft at the same time. A Win – Win for sweet potato fries.
After picking this bag up at Giant Eagle, I was in Heinens and saw they are on sale 2/$6. That’s a great deal! Brady has already added them to our menu for next week. Chipotle flavored this time.
