Once upon a time, there lived a little ballerina. Her dad and her papa were going out of town for work and were going to miss seeing her on Halloween night, so her mom decided to dress her up early.

The little ballerina was not fond of wearing costumes, as she preferred to be her natural self. Evidence of this can be found here:

And then again here:

But on the night before Halloween, the little ballerina’s mom was determined to get her to wear her outfit. So she found one in the closet that Mimi had brought her. The little ballerina liked her tutu much better than the idea of being a gourd, but she still was not sold.

She didn’t like the bulky shirt under her leotard. So it was removed.

After that, she needed a break and a re-fuel of the thumb with her mimi. While she sat, she dreamed of dancing and smiling. DSC04280.JPG

Eventually she back to her normal self jumped around the room, spinning and smiling.

The next day, actual Halloween, the little ballerina’s mom thought it would be easy to get her dressed since she already knew of the outfit. The little ballerina was not as confident that this would be a good time.

She put up an initial struggle.

And then, all of a sudden, she was saved by Batman and the monkey who came bearing gifts for the little ballerina. She forgot about her outfit and started having fun!

From that point on, the ballerina and her mom had a great night. They visited the neighbors party to eat, see costumes and chat. They passed out candy to trick-or-treaters and they played for a good hour and a half in this big bowl of candy.

And in the end, the little ballerina lived happily ever after.
