Today felt like a long day in both a good way and a not as good way. The morning started with some jogging stroller time for Anna and I. When we finished I pushed her into the pack yard and parked the stroller outside of my garden gate and did some much needed weeding. I will show you pictures. Pictures that I am ashamed of. It’s pretty horrible how much I have let the garden go this year. It just was not a top priority. I am going to plant some late summer veggies when I get it back in shape.

Anyways, after that I weeded a little in the front walkway before Anna started to wake up from her 8 am nap. Then I worked inside for a while. I put clean clothes away and sorted out her newborn clothes (which she has already outgrown…:( ) and packed for the upcoming weekend.

Then Katie stopped over to visit and we walked. We covered about 4 miles by the time we were done. After our walk, I did more things around the house in between mini naps. I vacuumed and started dinner. I also worked on my CEU’s for my nutrition and wellness consultant certification. I have about 100 things to do for that.

Then I threw dinner together with the help of a bottle of Bertolli Arrabbiata sauce that I got in the mail from the Foodbuzz Tastemaker program a while ago (I used the other bottle they sent right after it arrived!) and my Cooking Light magazine from a while ago.

Dinner was a his and hers theme. We hadn’t done this for a while and it seemed to fit pasta night since I don’t love pasta.

His

  • Chicken – all fat removed and cooked separately with Italian seasonings
  • Balck olives – Brady’s favorite
  • Bertolli Arrabbiata sauce
  • Barilla Pasta Plus Angel Hair pasta

I cooked the chicken and then sliced up olives and mixed them in with the chicken. Then I poured the sauce on the chicken and olives and heated them together.

We both had some of the zucchini I cooked with a little olive oil and some Garlic Wine Seasoning (my FAVORITE) from the Melting Pot.

Hers:

  • Some lettuce – because 98% of my meals contain lettuce. It gives everything a nice clean crunch.
  • Broccoli – I didn’t have fresh so I used frozen this time
  • Zucchini – discussed above
  • White Beans – drained and rinsed- these added TONS to the meal
  • Bertoli Arrabbiata sauce
  • Parm as a topping

Overall we were both very happy with our meals! Too bad we ate all of the zucchini! Yay for zucchini season though!

* I am putting together a post about exercising during and after pregnancy because I have been emailed a lot of questions. Do you have any questions you want me to answer? If you do, email me!!
