I felt like it was a true day of Christmas break. A day that started with a 6 am workout class, followed by coffee in post-shower pj’s and then returns. After a filling lunch and a nap for Anna, we took the girls sledding.

The put on their pink snow pants.

And headed outside to the sunny 35+ degree weather. It was perfect because we didn’t freeze to death but we still had snow!

The snow was wet and perfect for making 3 large snow men.

As you can tell, it was a great time.

I was so happy Anna enjoyed her first sledding trip this year because I want to be able to do it as an activity all winter. The fact that she isn’t terrified and didn’t freeze to death means it was a huge success!

We came inside just when it was starting to get dark and ready to chow dinner. Nothing too exciting but it was a colorful meal.

Chili and brown sugar roasted potatoes (both sweet and regular) – Thanks Laura! I am currently obsessed with TJ’s red chili pepper sauce thanks to Mrs. Mack.

To go with the potatoes we had steamed green beans and salmon. Brady also had a bite of leftover brown rice.

After all of the holiday junk (meaning, cookies) I am excited to start cooking again next week. Since so many people posted top healthy meals of the year, I have been doing a lot of bookmarking to use in my January menu plans!

What are you adding to your menu plan next week? I would love to know!
