I was recently given the opportunity to review the site Puritan’s Pride, an online provider of vitamins and supplements.

I was sent a package that included two different types of whey proteins, as well as a L-arginine and L-Glutamine – amino acids helpful to exercise routines and  L-Lysine: an amino acid that helps with blood flow and healthy skin.

When the package arrived, I quickly made a smoothie with the new protein powder.

I was impressed with the taste and the stats on this protein powder they carry.

While sipping my smoothie, I browsed the Puritan’s Pride website.

Blueberry Spinach Smoothie

  • 3/4 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 cup milk (skim, almond, soy, etc)
  • 1 scoop protein powder
  • 1 lg. handful fresh spinach
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup ice cubes
Blend and serve.

Blueberry Smoothie Recipe

  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/3 cup plain nonfat yogurt
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (or about 20 grams of protein)
  • 2 handfuls frozen blueberries
  • 1 Tbsp flaxseed oil (Udo’s oil blend is my favorite)
  • 2 ice cubes

Combine all ingredients in a blender and puree.  Simple, right?

The website is very easy to use and navigate.  They offer many specials that change regularly.

I liked the descriptions of the products, as well as the way they show the size of the pills.  I also found there to be many reviews on lots of common products.

Check out www.Puritan.com.  They currently have a sale going on that is buy 1 get 2 free!
