Fish is one of our favorite meals.  Both Brady and I love it and Anna and Kate are right there with us.  We didn’t give Kate any Ahi Tuna because it wasn’t fully cooked, but I have a feeling she will love it.

These wild Ahi Tuna Steaks were from the freezer section of Costco and were very fresh.  They made for an easy weeknight dinner!

 Seared Sesame Ahi Tuna Steaks

  • 2-4 (6 ounce) tuna steaks
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds
  1. In a large zip-top bag, combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, sesame oil and fresh ginger.
  2. Add tuna steaks, making sure to coat with marinade and refrigerate for at least an hour.
  3. When you are ready to eat, heat a pan with 1 Tbsp. sesame oil. Place sesame seeds on a plate. Remove tuna steaks from marinade bag, and press into the sesame seeds.
  4. Place on the hot pan and cook for about  3 minutes  or more if you like your tuna cooked through. Remove from grill pan and keep warm.
  5. Serve with wasabi sauce or paste.
