We could not have packed another thing into this weekend!  The fun started on Friday night when I hosted a couples shower (with my two girlfriends, Kara + Erika)  for our friend Jackie.  We have all been friends since we were in preschool and it was so much fun to celebrate her upcoming wedding to Burak.  The party deserves it’s own post, so that will happen today or tomorrow!

Then we got up around 6:30am on Saturday and headed to Chautauqua with my parents to put the dock in at the lake house.  My cousins and aunts + uncles met us up there for a 40 degree day of drizzle and hard work. Baby #2 got me out of lots of work and I spent the day chasing Anna, Addie + Emmy and supplying the boys with beer while they worked.

By the time the dock was done, we had a few minutes to fun over to my parents new lake house and get a few things started.  Their new lake house deserves it’s own post as well, so I will save the details on it. 🙂  It’s a beautiful house that needs a lot of TLC and redecorating.

We got things started for a minute before going to my grandma’s and having a big Mother’s Day dinner with everyone.  Shortly after we finished the strawberries  & ice cream, we crashed.

Sunday morning came fast and we quickly got to work on the new lake house.  Peeling wall paper, removing carpet, taking out bathroom floors and discussing paint colors were just a few things that filled our work day at the house.  The work was already paying off so much that it was hard to make ourselves leave.

By the time we got home last night, it was 10pm on Sunday night.  My 4:40am alarm this morning was not far enough from that.  But Monday morning is already rolling and I started week 29 with teaching 6am spin.
