Kids birthday parties are so much fun! There are cute themes, good food, fun decorations and the biggest smiles of all. This weekend was Alexander’s 5th birthday party. He loves race cars so that was the theme he picked.

Here are details:

Birthday Banner and Party Table.

The banner is made from checkered fabric Modge Podged to watercolor paper and cut into flags. Then theΒ  words were written with the letter stencils I used for Anna’s 1st birthday party!

For the favors, Patty filled jars with little apples, bouncy balls, suckers, raisins and noise makers. Each kid filled their bag before leaving the party!

The cake was made by a local bakery and frosted with buttercream icing.

Many of the patterns that Patty used were from a really cute blog called Homemade by Jill!

The treat bags were labeled and ready for the kids to fill them. Next to the buttercream frosted cupcakes were little bottles of car water for little thirsty drivers.

On the table there were arrangements of glow sticks with checkered flags on the ends. These were a huge hit and went well with the kids glow-in-dark cars they got and played with at the party.
