After lunch I spent some time getting things around the house ready for the school year.  Even though the house has been pretty clean, since I have been home to clean it so often, I felt the need to “nest” and make sure things were all set.  This is what I got done….

  1. wash all of the sheets on all beds
  2. wash every towel we own (some we haven’t even used)
  3. clean shower/tub
  4. wash windows
  5. water plants….twice
  6. grocery shop and prepare lunch foods
  7. wash all of our clothes from the weekend
  8. bake
  9. work on last-minute stuff for my class
  10. vacuum
  11. wash kitchen floor – not with the wet-swifter, but on my hands and knees
  12. wash the outside of the kitchen cupboards ( I really did this…what was I thinking)

Can we say CRAZY!  It’s not like I won’t be home each day to do these daily things, I guess it’s just panic mode!

Weekly Time Saver Tips

1. Wash, cut and bag veggies so you can grab them to pack for lunches during the week.

2. Buy fresh fish (this salmon is from Costco) and cut it into meal-size portions.  Freeze for easy use.  When you know you have a busy night, pull out a dinner serving and marinate in the fridge while you are gone all day.  I labeled these baggies with the date just so I knew when they were from!
