Friday night we had everyone over for our annual beer tasting party. This is one of my favorite parties that we have because it is so much fun and involves an activity(I am all about activities, planned games and competitions with groups of people). The only hard part is that Brady and I are pretty busy with the pouring and serving of the beer – then tallying of the scores, so we don’t up mingling until the tasting is over.

After church, we came back to our house for lunch. We had carefully thought out the menu so we could plan ahead and have things ready. The menu was:
appetizers:
Chips and salsa
Carrots, pita chips and hummus
meal:
Pulled Pork Sandwiches with rolls
Coleslaw (for sandwiches)
Quinoa Lentil Salad
Cheese Potatoes
Caesar Salad
Green Beans with Almonds
dessert:
Cake
Sugar cookies
drinks:
Coffee
Lemonade
Water/Pop
Everything turned out great! We set card tables out on the deck for people

Preparation is underway for Anna’s Baptism this weekend.
I have made the cookies (but not frosted them yet).
I have fixed the silverware.

Here is the dip recipe from our family dinner the other night!
1 block 1/3 less fat cream cheese 1 8oz. container of sour cream 1 green pepper – diced 1 red pepper – diced 1/2 c. chopped walnuts 3/4 large packet or 1 smaller packet of dried beef, diced Let cream cheese get to room temperature and mix with sour cream. It was so much fun to go to John and Ashley’s (or should I say Dr. Strauss and Mr. Johnny’s ) last night! They have a great new place in the Short North that is new and adorably decorated!
