At 7:05am yesterday morning, I got out my beloved Crock-Pot. I had not used it in our new house so I was excited to see it working on my new counters. Crock-Pots are so great because they allow you to have a hot dinner waiting for you to eat while you are off playing! They also have a magical way of creaming delicious ingredients together.

Indian Curry Lentils

Don’t judge a book by it’s cover.

Can you see how this statement would apply to this fantastic Indian dish I created this week. Brady and I were in the mood for Indian and since my parents were not sold on the cuisine, I had to make it good. This came together with not too many ingredients and mostly things you keep on hand. Anna loved it too! Don’t be surprised if you see it again next week.

Chicken Curry

The other part of our dinner from last night was chicken curry. This dish cooked on my stove for about an hour so it had the same effect as being in the slow cooker. The chicken fell apart the same way too. I somehow missed the picture of the new ancient grains mix that I served with the Indian dishes but it will be making other appearances so I will have time to show you it.

Indian Lentils in the Slow Cooker

Semi-Homemade Indian Food

Still pregnant.  I just wanted to get that out there. 

Today was a nice day in Columbus.  The sun was shining and it warmed up by the middle of the day.  I walked this morning with Ticia and then went to the doctor.  Two more days until I will be induced.  Then I ran to Whole Foods to get Brady some chicken curry from the hot bar to go with dinner.
