			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Today started bright and early when Brady headed to the airport at 4:15am to catch his flight.  I debated whether or not to go back to bed but decided going to the gym would be much more productive.  Plus, I skipped 3 days last week while I was out of town and I am feeling it.</p>
<p>At the gym, I did an hour of run/walk/weight intervals.  It was a great sweathy workout and I  ended up running over 5 miles and burned over 500 calories.  It was much needed.  Now I need to stay on track this week so I can feel better than I have been.  I can attribute most of my yucky feelings to sadness, but regardless I need to shake them and working out is the best way.</p>
<p>So my breakfast consisted of a clean and large container of fruit! Cantelope, banana, and pear with a packet of GoLean oatmeal sprinkled dry on top.  I eat this almost everyday for breakfast!  It&#8217;s so good!</p>

<p>Lunch: Leftover whole wheat pasta with veggies.  I didn&#8217;t eat the chicken.  For some reason I am not able to eat chicken that is not cooked right before I eat it anymore.  I used to have no problems with it &#8211; but not anymore.  I took it out and threw it away.</p>

<p>My dinner was a black bean burger on a ezekial roll with lettuce, tomato, avacado and relish.  I had a side of kale chips.</p>

<p>For lunch I made a veggie sandwich with hummus on sprouted wheat bread.  I missed the pic because I was inhaling it before running outside for recess duty.  I forgot to take my usual 3pm snack to school and I came home really hungry.  I had a PB Larabar to hold me over until our dinner guests arrived!  I also hit the elliptical for quick 30 min. exercise fix.  It wasn&#8217;t a great workout, but it wasn&#8217;t bad and it made me feel better.</p>
<p>John and Ashley arrived for dinner around 7:30!  We were hoping to enjoy dinner and drinks on the deck, but the hot, sticky weather kept us in with the air (it was a good decision because it ended up storming all night).  We had simple appetizers of hummus/veggies and chips/salsa.  Brady took a few pics, but they aren&#8217;t very appetizing and we all know what those things look like, so I will leave them off! <img src='http://thehealthyhostess.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>

<p>Dinner was grilled chicken marinated in Trader Joe&#8217;s Black Pepper sauce.  The sauce was ok, not one of my favorites.</p>

<p>We served the chicken with the tomato-mozzarella wheat bulgar salad I made last weekend.  Brady was not here to try it last weekend, and Ash is a frequent blogland reader and wanted to try the bulgar too.  I have to say, I really enjoy this simple dish!  It&#8217;s chewy and natural tasting but has great flavor!</p>

<p>For dessert, Ash brought a frozen yogurt I had not tried: Edy&#8217;s Berry Granola Fro Yo.  It was wonderful!  We added tons of fruit to our bowls, plus AB and sugar-free choc. syrup!  I ate it so fast, there was not time for a picture, whoops!!</p>
