Back to the Swing of Things

Today started bright and early when Brady headed to the airport at 4:15am to catch his flight. I debated whether or not to go back to bed but decided going to the gym would be much more productive. Plus, I skipped 3 days last week while I was out of town and I am feeling it.

At the gym, I did an hour of run/walk/weight intervals. It was a great sweathy workout and I ended up running over 5 miles

Is it icecream?!

My dessert tonight tasted just like melted ice cream, only it was light vanilla soy milk mixed with Greek yogurt and high-fiber cereal.  The yogurt made it creamy and mixed with the soy milk, just the right thickness!

Friday Food!

Sorry for the missing post yesterday, I was busy until my head hit the pillow!  I started the day with a big bowl  of fiber cereal with tons of fruit.

For lunch I made a veggie sandwich with hummus on sprouted wheat bread.  I missed the pic because I was inhaling it before running outside for recess duty.  I forgot to take my usual 3pm snack to school and I came home really hungry.  I had a PB Larabar

Something different

This morning after contemplating what to make for breakfast over a few small fingerfuls of sliced almonds, I decided on cereal.  I have not had a bowl of cereal, cold with milk, in a long time.  I mixed:

-1/2 c. Organic Blueberry Flax and Soy cereal

-1/2 c. Kashi Go Lean

- 1 tsp. ground flax

- 1/2 c. skim milk

- handful of blueberries

- 1/3 sliced banana
