Quinoa with Pear, Cranberries and Almonds

The weekend is over and it was busy but great. Now it’s back to the usual. Teaching classes, cooking, library, shopping, playing, the usual.

Part of today’s usual included some leftover quinoa turned into a new favorite recipe.

I love that quinoa is so versatile and can go with anything. From Asian to Mexican, Greek to Italian and everything in between – quinoa is the perfect base to a meal.

Toddler Meals: Anna’s favorites at 20 months

Babies go through food phases so fast that it’s hard to keep up. One week Anna loves broccoli, the next week she won’t eat it. Then she won’t eat cucumbers and now she eats them all of the time. It even happened with sweet potatoes. She used to love them when she was 7, 8 , 9, 10 months and then she refused to eat them until recently when I made sweet potato fries. Hosting a chat with Jen Broe: Founder of Baby Gourmet

Thanksgiving was so wonderful this year. Full of family, friends, food, fun and relaxing. We spent a few days in Chautauqua, then came back and celebrated with Brady’s family here in Cleveland. We are currently having a great time with John and Ashley here visiting. I did an absolutely horrible job taking pictures – not sure what I was thinking. Anna’s baby book will be pretty bare for Thanksgiving 2011. I will have to step it back up this week!
