Brady and I went to Toledo on Friday night to spend some quality time with John and Ashley and their families and friends. We ate a wonderful dinner, sipped many delicious glasses of wine and talked and laughed until the wee hours of the night. Morning came quick and the boys headed to play golf while Ash and I went for a run before getting ready for her shower.

It was a beautiful day to celebrate our bride-to-be of the summer!

We walked down the street two houses to her family friends’ beautiful home where Mary and Sue had put on a fabulous shower.

Mimosas and fresh lime water greeted us as we came through the door.

And the tables were set with festive napkins and buttery cookie favors.

After mingling, chatting about all things wedding and admiring the views of the lake, it was time to eat.

The food was out-of-this world delicious.

Hopefully I will have some recipes from Mary (aka Martha Stewart) to share this week!

After lunch, we played a fun game where Ashley had to guess the answers to questions that John was asked about her. Chait did a great job planning the game and Ash did an even better job getting the answers right!
