For Anna’s party we made homemade mac & cheese. It was creamy and tasted much more decedent than it was.

Homemade Mac & Cheeseadapted from Hoggy’s recipe

  • 2 c. low fat cottage cheese (big container)
  • 2 c. reduced fat sour cream (I use reduced fat)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 bag of 2% sharp cheddar cheese, shredded (plus more for the top)
  • 1 lb. cooked elbow macaroni ( Barilla Plus or whole wheat work great)
  • salt and pepper
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Combine all ingredients.  
  3. Transfer to a 13×9 inch baking dish.  
  4. Bake until crusty and golden, about 40 minutes.

*This is a great food for kids and adults! You could always add in some broccoli, tofu or chicken to make it more of a full meal!
