Today felt like a long day in both a good way and a not as good way. The morning started with some jogging stroller time for Anna and I. When we finished I pushed her into the pack yard and parked the stroller outside of my garden gate and did some much needed weeding. I will show you pictures. Pictures that I am ashamed of. It’s pretty horrible how much I have let the garden go this year. It just Cucumbers and little known methods to defend against type 2 diabetes Do you think you’re cool as a cucumber? Often you should try to deseed the cucumber as the body can have trouble digesting the seeds. You can deseed them yourself easily by cutting them 
Yesterday was a busy day. We had a ton of unpacking to do from the weekend and Anna had her 2month appointment and shots. She made it through but it was not a fun experience for any of us! I felt like I hadn’t cooked a meal in a long time (it’s really been like a week!) so I was excited to make a good, healthy, clean dinner! After consulting some Cooking Light magazines, some of my favorite blogs 
I like the way Brady’s family does the meal situation on family reunion weekends. Each family is responsible for a meal – the food, the cooking, the clean up. This works well because not everyone spends all of their time cooking! For our meal, Sunday lunch, we had a taco bar. We went with tacos because everyone can make their own, they are (can be) healthy and they are fairly easy to prepare. The only downside – lots of dishes 
Saturday night we did an Amazing Race – Tilghman Island style! Despite the 95+ degree temp. and the thick humidity, everyone played! We had a meeting to set the rules, assign partners and pass out the first clue. Kristen, Brady’s cousin, made up the game and all of the riddles! She did such a great job! Everyone payed close attention…
The game began with teams racing to the beach to complete their first task – building 3 
We got to Tilghman Island, Maryland on Friday night after a quick flight from Columbus. Brady’s dad picked us up and we made the hour and a half drive from the airport to the island. We had been looking forward to coming back since we were there last year. Each year we spend the last weekend in June (usually we make it a 3-4 day trip) at Tilghman where Brady’s aunt and uncle have a house on the Chesapeake Bay. |
