My brother Kevin came yesterday from Chicago to meet Anna!  He fell in love right away!  We spent lots of time hanging out and relaxing.

When Brady got home from work, we broke out some Cinco de Mayo beers and some happy hour chips and guac!

I stuck to lemonade because I don’t want to mess with breastfeeding (alcohol can affect milk supply) just yet.

Brady made guac using fresh lime juice, fresh salsa and some Mexican spice.

Anna joined us on the deck – covered from bugs and sun.  🙂  She happily napped while we chatted and ate.

For dinner, since I didn’t think about it being Cinco de Mayo, we had burgers and sweet potato fries.

Simple Sweet Potato Fries

  • a few sweet potatoes – as many as you need for the number of people you have
  • cooking spray – I used olive oil
  • salt and pepper
  1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.
  2. Cut the potatoes into similar sizes so they can cook evenly.
  3. Cover a baking sheet with foil.
  4. Spray the foil with cooking spray then top the foil with the fries.
  5. Cook the fries for 15 minutes.
  6. Take out the fries and flip them.
  7. Cook them for another 15 minutes until more browned!
  8. Serve and Enjoy!

We also had salad.

And burgers.  I had a veggie – Boca burger, and we cooked sirloin burgers.

Dessert was fresh, juicy, sweet watermelon!
