The snow day has been a success!  The best news is that we have tomorrow off too!  I got some things done – cleaning out school stuff from the basement, having lunch with Katie and Kurt (they brought us Penn Station), napping, laundry and a few other random things.  I read a little in my baby books and wanted to share some important info!

Make sure to load up on Omega-3 essential fatty acids in your pregnancy (especially in the third trimester).  Omega-3 are great for many things in pregnant moms and growing babies, such as:

  • brain development in babies
  • forming  the retinas in babies
  • easier births for moms
  • preventing preterm delivery
  • decreasing chances of developing post-partum depression in moms
  • developing the nervous system in babies

Great places to get Omega-3 are:

  • flaxseed – ground
  • green leafy vegetables
  • salmon
  • walnuts
  • shrimp
  • soybeans/tofu

To name a few!
