We had the most amazing drinks at the lake this weekend! The girls made sure to keep it light!
When are we starting that Chait?
Sweet, easy, light, delicious and bubbly!
Peach Bellini
1/2 bottle of champagne 2 shots Grand Marnier 1 pint of peach sorbet
Blend together and serve with fresh raspberries!
Other light drinks of the weekend:
Light Cran Vodka
1 or 2 shots of good (or just not horribly bad) vodka 3/4 glass

This is seriously the best marinated grilled shrimp I have ever had!
Basil Mustard Grilled Shrimp
2 1/2 Tbsp. olive oil 1/4 c. butter 1 1/2 lemons – juiced 3 Tbsp. brown mustard 1/2 c. minced basil 3 cloves of garlic salt and pepper 3 lbs. peeled, deveined shrimp
Mix all of the marinade ingredients together and add shrimp. Keep in the fridge for at least an hour before grilling. Use a grill basket or skewer to grill shrimp.

Besides all of the eating we did this weekend, we:
smiled,
some of us played Louisville Chugger, (check out Brady’s 80s sweatshirt he found and decided to wear all weekend)
napped, then played football,
chatted,
admired the lake,
thanked our great host and hostess for everything,
posed for a girls picture,
sang, danced and acted silly,
and had a great time!!

Super Simple Wheat Berry Salad
1 c. wheat berries – cooked as directed 1 can of chick peas handful of carrots – pieces handful of peppers – sliced garlic wine seasoning – as much as you like 1 tbsp. olive oil salt and pepper
* Next time I would add some tomatoes and spinach for more volume!
