His and Her Barbeque

For dinner tonight, Brady wanted pulled pork. It’s not really my thing but I was in the mood for BBQ so I made my own variation. It ended up being a ton of great veggies but our dinners were very different.

My dinner included:

butternut squash caramelized onions BBQ Slaw

BBQ Slaw

cabbage – sliced very thin BBq sauce light miracle whip salt and pepper

Mix sauce and cabbage. Serve on sprouted wheat with onions and tomato.

Caramel Apple Salad

This recipe came together quickly and spur-of-the-moment right before dinner at my parents.  We had just gone to get apples and I could not wait to use them!

Caramel Apple Salad

apples – sliced and diced fat free caramel syrup 1/2 c. fat free fage cinnamon

Chop the apples.  Mix the cinnamon with fage and mix it into the apples.  Drizzle with caramel syrup.

Randomish Dinner

After school today, I ran to the store because I needed to get a few things to make French Toast Strata for our school breakfast in the morning.  Then I made the casserole before Brady and I took my car to get all new tires.  We left it at the place and when we got home, I ran about 4.5 miles.  We then went back to pick up my car.  By the time I watered the plants and did things

Super salads

Lunch today consisted of a leftover concoction:

Main Dish:

romaine lettuce spring mix greens sweet peppers tomatoes black beans salt and pepper cumin cottage cheese with tons of pepper

Better… Better… Great!

This morning for breakfast I wanted to use the rest of my leftover Kashi pilaf.  I didn’t know what I was in the mood for, so I just starting throwing things in the bowl until it tasted good – which took a little while.

Here is what ended going in my bowl, in order:

1/2 c. Kashi pilaf 1/2 banana

Microwave that for 1 min. but it was WAY too boring so I added:

1 tsp of sliced almonds  –
