For dinner, we made kabobs with veggies, shrimp and scallops. It was so good and colorful! I also made a tomato and mozzarella salad for our side!

After lunch I spent some time getting things around the house ready for the school year. Even though the house has been pretty clean, since I have been home to clean it so often, I felt the need to “nest” and make sure things were all set. This is what I got done…. wash all of the sheets on all beds wash every towel we own (some we haven’t even used) clean shower/tub wash windows water plants….twice grocery shop and Today did not go as planned. It was good, and busy and I accomplished a lot, but it was not the way I was thinking it was going to be. I was hoping to have a nice relaxing last day of summer before school starts tomorrow, but what was I thinking? I had a ton of things to do – all of which took time! After breakfast, I left home thinking I would be back in PLENTY of time for It felt great to start the morning off with a run! Katie (who just got engaged last night, yay!!!!) and I ran about 4-4.5 miles. She had lots of energy from her great news and I had lots of energy because I haven’t run in a few days. We were happy to get it out of the way while is was cool out this morning. After the run, I was craving oatmeal! I made a typical bowl with the following: |
